Shelter Advocate

The Shelter Advocate provides crisis intervention, advocacy, and day-to-day support to survivors of domestic violence and their children residing in an emergency shelter. This role helps maintain a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environment while empowering survivors to make informed choices about their safety and future. Advocates support shelter operations, provide emotional support and safety planning, connect residents to community resources, and respond to crises as they arise. The ideal candidate is compassionate, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
